The Persuaders

What really stood out to me was the all the different ways Marketing can be twisted and formed to look like something other than the plain reality of manipulation. It's not lying, that would be an insult to the great profession because they don't actually need to lie about anything. I believe the best word is manipulation because the goal of Marketing is to take one product and make it as appealing as possible to as many people as possible, the only way to do that is exaggeration. This all makes perfect sense, and you would think that almost anything could be accomplished under these guidelines, but the sad truth is that if there is not a market for the product the marketing campaign can only do so much.
